I am reading a biography on Frank Sinatra. Godfather of Alpha. A study of Frankie Boy’s earlier life is a study on the early glimmers of natural alphadom. I myself find many similarities between him and me growing up.

It is important to note that Frank Sinatra, similar to many alphas, has an origin story that borders on the mythical. It could not be further from the truth.

He was not a tough guy growing up. In fact he found himself being insulted numerous times for wearing “flashy” clothing and had been on the receiving end of numerous fists. Frankie wasn’t as much of a boxer as he claimed nor was his skill in singing from the beginning any better than you or I dear readers.

His mug shot was taken not because he was doing mob work or in a fight. He was arrested twice, once for suspicion of seduction and the other adultery on the word of a scorned girl three years his elder.

Frank’s success could be based on two things: hard work and a never wavering self-confidence.

Confidence is the currency of alpha-dogs. The more you accumulate the better your life becomes.

All my success in life is based in an unwavering self-confidence of self. There have been times in my life where in class I have answered a question blatantly wrong. However all was forgiven due to the conviction in which my answer was presented. People do not forgive those that act without a certainty of self.

I have never allowed anyone to know that I was uncomfortable.

My body: a bastion of self-assurance. My aura: a beam from the lighthouse of greatness.

Now there are a few ways to begin your accumulation of alpha affluence.

You may be born with it. Blue blood.

You may in your travels run into those who have been told how great they are as children. They enter the world and can attest their entire success in life is a stringent belief in those early parental words. I once ran into a man of such origin. He was nothing special; his life was not enviable from a professional or monetary sense. However, he was able to seduce both man and girl with his presence. With smirk he conquered his immediate world.

Axiom: Alpha does not require money or position. Though those two things do help.

You may decide you want it and work for it. Protestant Work Ethic.

This is where many of you will find themselves. You are tired of being looked past and taken for granted. You are done with allowing the bounties of life avoid you. Your eyes through either hardship or observation are opened to the possibilities before you. You realize that Providence is within you and you declare your success.

You verbalize your goals. You begin the hard toil towards alphadom. The pain is excruciating but your spirit is sharp and you wake up every morning after laying your weary head. You experiment, study, and put into practice the tenants of alphadom.

You will attain the pinnacle of alpha-dog mentality. The calluses of your hardship will slowly be replaced by a firm hand. Alpha will recognize alpha.

You may decide you are entitled to it. Illegitimate Nobility

Your parents may not have given you the sense of self-confidence as those who are Blue Blood and yet you did not work towards it with the intensity of those with the Protestant Work-Ethic. You, like me, may have woken up early in your life and decided that you were self-confident and never looked back. This is the rarest group to belong to. Frank Sinatra was a member.

The vast majority of you will begin your journey in accumulating absurd levels of self-confidence will do so through hard work. You will face numerous setbacks and may attempt to quit. However glory does not shine on those who succumb.

Cowards do not enter through the city gates to parades. They are disposed without fanfare as to not infect the young.

I shall offer you a few helpful hints on your path in search of self-confidence.

Walk Straight.

Nothing stimulates the spirit better than walking straight. Those who raise their shoulders and slump will always be treated as lesser beings. They themselves feel lesser. They are on the defensive.

Those that walk straight present to the world a challenge. Their chests are exposed and their shoulders relaxed. They do not fear what is in their path. Crowds will part. Hearts will crumble.

Everything in Your Path is Conquerable.

Remind yourself everything can be conquered. Man conquered gravity. You must determine what you must do to conquer any challenges in your way. I myself do not allow nature to stand in my way. I wear rain boots for one purpose: to not allow a puddle force me to stray from my path. During snow or rain I walk with head held poised.

Do Not Fear to Separate Yourself.

Many of you dear readers are males who have grown up in the 80’s or 90’s. Those who are born in the new millennium, you face even greater challenges.

We have been taught (or have been attempted to be taught) that we are all special. Negative. The person on my left as I type this is nowhere near being close to my level.  This is not simple vanity. My hair is not greasy and I am not Facebook creepin.

I refuse to succumb to a cubicle. I refuse to live life on anyone’s timeline but my own. I walk with conviction and I do not fear any beauty. Do not be afraid to separate yourself from the masses. There can only be one captain on a boat. One leader of men. One ring to rule them all.

I maintain a level of self-confidence because I recognize that I have more of it. I find myself disgusted with those that grovel for appreciation. My eyes are not sympathetic to the sight of those that hide in corners praying that they are not called for service for they do not do anything to help themselves.

It may seem wrong to see yourself as better than another, but it is true. Michael Jordan is a better basketball player than I am. Rubirosa is a better flirt than I. Bill Gates is better at charity.

You must see yourself in comparison to everyone before you.

Recognize your weaknesses and what you lack and rectify them. I am not perfect, however if it was not for my ability to recognize that it was possible to be better than other people I would be stuck in the same swamps of drudgery that they find themselves.

Judge a person by the content of their character.

I raise my chalice to those who begin their journey towards the Lifestyle. Remember here we only deal in the currency known as self-confidence.
